Hello there,Most cosmetic dentists and orthodontists in the U.S. offer payment schedules, whether through their offices directly or through 3rd party finance companies like Care Credit, Your Health Credit, and many many others. If your credit is moderate to excellent, then no down payment is usually required at all, just monthly payments that you can afford. If your credit is less than okay, you may still get a payment plan, but you'll most likely have to place a big down payment of anywhere from $500-$1,500, depending on the office and region you're in. If using your credit card is not an option, I would suggest looking into one of these 3rd party dental finance companies and possibly applying online; I do not have a preference or an incentive to guide you to anyone of them in particular and I listed those two rival companies only as examples. So, see if you can gain approval for financing before you go to your cosmetic dentist. If you are not approved, then you can contact your dentist to ask if they have any reasonable payment options for someone like you. You would be surprised how many offices are willing to work with people like you to help them.I hope everything works out for you; keep us posted and follow me for answers to your questions, if you'd like.Take care.
