Having an active recurrent genital herpes outbreak. Im on Valtrex. Can I still proceed with my Breast Augmentation surgery?

In my experience herpes breakouts do not affect breast augmentation surgery unless there is a bacterial infection on top of the herpes breakout, but to be safe you should be discussing this with you own surgeon who will be responsible for your safety.  

You should be able to proceed with the breast augmentation.  Please inform your surgeon to discuss further.

Hello, having genital herpes is not necessarily a contraindication to surgery, but I would recommend speaking to your plastic surgeon.  They are aware of your overall medical health, any other medications you are taking, etc.

To be perfectly safe it is my opinion that you should have your breast augmentation when you are clear of on ongoing heretic lesion. The surgery should be performed with antibiotic and antiviral coverage. This is the safest merhod for you. 

You need to discuss this with your surgeon and anesthesiologist.  Likely it will be fine but definitely check with them.
