I had breast augmentation in the end of november 2016. At the moment, everything is healing well, still a little bit sensless:my nippes and under. My Nipples are a little dry from time to time. However, it becomes extra very dry after my partner kisses my breastes. Is it normal? Sorry if the question is trivial, but would appreciate your replies. Thank you
Answer: Dry nipples post BA. Thank you for your question. Yes it is very normal to have dry skin around the nipple and areola after breast augmentation surgery. You can use most any type of skin moisturizer to help with this. Best of luck

Answer: Dry breast/nipples Thank you for your question. Dry skin is relatively common as is skin peeling when the breasts are stretched due to breast implants. Due to the stitches, dressing, soreness, etc., surgical areas may not be bathed, showered, scrubbed and moisturized for a few weeks after surgery and this may result in dead, flakey skin cells accumulating on the skin. This may be the source of the peeling. This can be exacerbated if you have dry skin which is without natural skin oils. Oil glands may be stressed and not function properly. Once you are all healed up and back to your routine, the dryness should go away in about a couple weeks to months – it depends. It may help to apply a moisturizer of your choice after showering. Once the weather becomes more humid, dryness will reduce as well. For now, relay your questions to your surgeon. Their instructions should take precedence over everything you read here. It is very important that you maintain strict follow-up with your board-certified plastic surgeon to make sure your breasts are healing beautifully without any complications. Hope this helps.

Answer: Dry nipples after breast augmentation. Is this normal? Thank you for sharing your question. When the breast skin is stretched by swelling and the volume of the implants it can cause some temporary dryness of the nipple. This will resolve as your surgical results mature but you can ask your surgeon if application of moisturizer at this point in your healing would be advisable. Hope this helps.

Answer: Dry skin after BA Thank you for your question. Anytime surgery is performed, and especially when skin is stretched a bit (as it is in breast augmentation), it is not uncommon for the skin to be a little dry. The oil glands are stressed and they do not function normally. However, by 6 months this should improve. As the weather warms up and humidity is available again, this will also help. I'd keep your skin moisturized in the meantime.
