Because mine is 4 months and is still not gone. 6 months now and my fat necrosis is not gone. It looks like a boil and to comes out and heal by itself but it taking too long to stop

Answer: Timeframe of fat necrosis Fat necrosis is permanent, but inflammation related to the body‘s reaction of necrotic tissue should resolve within a few months. Patients who have significant palpable, fat necrosis may have firmness and lumps that will not go away. If there’s redness and inflammation, then you may need intervention.
