Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for breast augmentation and you are correct in stating that you have tuberous breasts. Implant sizing is determined by a number of measurements taken during an in-person evaluation and can't be properly advised over this format. You will have a great result regardless.
Have you tried on sizers at your surgeon’s office? This is an easy way to see how look and feel with both sizes, so you can determine which one you like more. During your augmentation, your surgeon will also have to release the constricted tissue around your areolae to resolve their tubular shape.
I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Good afternoon,While I lean towards the larger, it would really be helpful to know the measurements of your chest, and hopefully you are going to have the tuberous characteristics corrected at the same time?
The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Energetic418212,breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
hi dear thanks for your query. we have operated couple of tuberous breasts. firstly get operated from an expert plastic surgeon who has done it before since the constriction ring needs to be completely removed before putting the implant . secondly it should be operated from a periareolar incision (scar will be invisible in end). thirdly u should go for 310 cc medium profile implant.hope I have answered your queriesregardsDr Sukhbir Singh
There are more sizes than those two, including 360 cc's, but I would suggest the 300 cc's just based on your photos. You might need different sizes for each breasts, but measurements are needed.
Hello. Thanks for your photographs and question. I strongly suggest you to have anatomical breast implant rather than another shapes since you have tuberous breast. It seems 390 cc of implant would be a better option for your case but psychical consultation should be done to determine the best shape that will fit your body shape.
Your breasts themselves are not tubular, but you do have breast tissue that herniates or extends into your areolae. This is fixable when you do your augmentation with implants, but fat transfers may not be as effective.
Your breasts do not appear tuberous. As far as correction is concerned, that very much depends on what your desired breast is. The best bet is to talk with a plastic surgeon to get a feel for your goals and what procedures can help you get there.
Just based on your one photo, your breasts' bases are not tubular, but normal width, so you may get results close to your photos. You will need a lift as well, but just around the areolae.
