Your breasts are not tuberous and do not need reconstruction. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Dynamic419309,tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Dear DynamicBelow is the text of questions that I like to answer"18f, 167cm, 70kg, Ethnically south Asian. I can’t tell if I need a reconstruction or simply an augmentation, but I think I have tuberous breasts."I think it can be corrected with breast augmentation using implants or even a fat grafting with some smart moves inside the breast to fix the nominally tubular breast.Do additionally have enlarges areola that should be fixed together.Thanking you
Your breasts appear normal not tuberous and with typical slight asymmetry. A normal breast augmentation should work perfectly for you.
Thanks for your question. You do have some features of tuberous breast change, for example a constricted left lower pole, in addition to breast asymmetry. The overall shape could be improved with breast implants, specifically with the aim of augmenting and stretching out the lower pole of the...
No, fat will be unable to increase you much in size nor can reshape the breasts well. Implants can reshape and maintain the new shape and will give you the size you want. Fat transfer could also make your areolae worse since breast tissue is mainly present inside your areolae.
