My doctor says my neck is too tight after a facelift. He has been injecting my neck with 6-9 ccs of steroids with every visit.

Injecting steroids can be helpful in addition to massaging, but these should be done very carefully. Steroids can cause fat atrophy and disfigurement to the skin if used too often or in too high of dosages. At 6 months, you would expect improvement to be going in a positive direction.
