I am a 47 y/o female with a history of weigh loss surgery 10+ years ago. I underwent a BBL in 2021 but the results did not last, and I also lost about 30 pounds over 2 years. I am very interested in buttock implants, but not sure if I am a candidate due to some sagging, I am in good health, non-smoker. I do not want the scars of a buttock lift.
Answer: Am i a candidate for buttock implants? Allow me to answer your question as best i can based upon your photos. However, please keep in mind that an in-person, or at least a virtual, consultation with physical exam is first necessary before any legitimate evaluation or final surgical recommendations can be made. Buttock “sagging” is usually a combination of loss of volume or deflation (after weight loss, liposuction, or post-BBL) and/or the effect of aging and gravity. So, I personally first treat patients like you by restoring volume to the buttock with a buttock implant. This will create a more desirable smooth and rounded perky buttock profile. If not adding volume with an implant, the buttock will be shortened but may appear more flat with just a buttock lift. A lower buttock tuck is usually then performed at six months following implants. In this sequence, the implants have fully settled into final position so that any remaining loose skin can be most accurately identified and removed with the lower buttock tuck. As long as you are healthy and medically cleared for surgery, you are indeed a “candidate” for buttock implants. Please note, because an extremely few number of board certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants, you may have to travel away from your local area to seek consultation with this particular type of surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: Butt implants Dear Missourian. Thanks for posting your pictures and sorry for the disappointing outcome of the butt's fat injection procedure. However, this outcome is more of the norm than the exception and 30% of my butt implants patients had the BBL before the butt implants surgery. In regard to your concerns about the skin sagging at the bottom. this will tighten up with the implants. you can look at the photos in my website and notice that improvement. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice projection, round hips and natural look. Best of luck. Dr Widder widderplasticsurgery.com

After analyzing your case I can say you're a good candidate for Butt implants and maybe butt lift to be decided after an in-person evaluation.
