Answer: Percocet and nausea Any narcotics can give you nausea and vomiting. There are also many other side effects they can produce. Interestingly, this irritation does not start in your stomach, but is the result of the narcotic hitting a certain center in your brain centrally, causing these effects. You need to discuss any previous or current problems concerning the side effects with your plastic surgeon. Other alternatives are usually available.

Answer: Percocet maybe tha culprit but check with your surgeon Percocet is a strong medication prescribed by your doctor for the pain control after the surgery. As any medication this one also can have sometimes not very pleasant side effects. Many patients do not feel great after taking it, especially if they take it on empty stomach. Patients usually have a lack of appetite right after the procedure and do not follow important instruction about taking medications. Patients often report nausea, vomiting, feeling little light headed, having stomach pain. If patient cannot tolerate this particular medication surgeon can prescribe different one that will control pain as well, but will be more friendly for the patient. Most pain medication will cause constipation, therefore patient is advised to have some stool softeners handy, drink lots of fluids. However you should check with your surgeon and discuss your symptoms. There maybe other serious reasons other than Percocet

Answer: Does percoset make you sick? Congratulations on having undergone the tummy tuck procedure. Unfortunately, many of the medications, including the narcotics (such as Percocet) can cause nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to medication ( and side effect) management. Best wishes.
