After a tummy tuck, I suggest that my patients take two months off from any exercise. At that point I let them start cardio. I suggest they start very slowly introducing activities as they feel fit.
If you were my patient you would likely be cleared to participate in activities such as drinking and dancing. I do recommend that you discuss these matters with your surgeon just to be sure. I hope you enjoy your drinking and dancing and please be careful!
In my personal practice my postop info sheet recommends 3 weeks! You need to address these concerns with your operative surgeon ...
Congratulations! It sounds like you love your results and are ready to have some fun! Make sure you continue to follow your plastic surgeon's directions for your post-op recovery. A couple of alcoholic drinks at this point is typically okay. Make sure your plastic surgeon agrees. Dancing can be strenuous and a bit unpredictable - make sure to clear this with your plastic surgeon first! My patients are released for full activity without restrictions around 6 weeks if everything has gone smoothly. Good luck to you!
I think a couple of drinks will not affect your wound healing at this point and I do let my patients resume some light activity at this point. But you need to discuss this with your PS who can give you the ok.

Drinking alcohol 5 weeks into your recovery after a tummy tuck should be fine. But, I would check with your plastic surgeon to see if it is ok to to start dancing. Every plastic surgeon has their own criteria and protocols when it comes to engaging in strenuous activities after an abdominoplasty. Thanks for sharing your photos and questions. Best wishes.
Thank you for asking about your tummy tuck.Sorry you don't like your belly button - it is a problem sometimes.I doubt that the marble 'trick' will help stretch the scar 3 years after surgery.Ask your surgeon about an umbilicoplasty - often even a shrunken navel can be opened up.Always consult a...
Appears as an early infected swelling or fluid area. Best to be seen again today for proper care.......
Thank you very much for your question. You are quite right that the outside scar appearance does mirror what is going on inside your tissues. If the scar is slightly red or pink on the outside it means that the tissues on the inside will also be fairly fresh and this is the reason why six weeks...
