I have had a recent (9/29/14) full tummy tuck and am having difficulty with shaving. Any suggestions?

My tummy tuck is recent (9/29/14) and I don't mind leaving off the shaving for a while, but how do I get back to it when I eventually do? I don't want to damage anything or break the skin of the scar, but how will I ever be able to shave again without feeling what I'm doing? The pubic hair is growing right up to the scar line.

It would be best to let the wounds heal before shaving.  After a tummy tuck this could take 4 weeks before it is safe.

There is usually a significant degree of skin numbness associated with an abdominoplasty, especially in the infraumbilical area (below the belly button), which may take many months to resolve (and usually does to a significant degree).  The skin of the pubic area generally is less numb.  If you shave along the incision (provided it is flat/smooth and healing well, without suture erosions or pustules), with adequate lubrication and watching carefully that you are not pressing too hard and injuring the skin, that should be reasonably safe (and even if there is minor superficial irritation/injury, this should quickly resolve).
