How long does it take for Botox results to be seen? I got 27 units in my forehead and frown lines yesterday.

Thanks for your question.  It typically takes anywhere from 4-7 days for botox to take full effect, and can last 3-6 months. I wish you the best. 

Botox will gradually take effect in the areas in was injected.  Some patients start seeing results in early as 3 days, others will take up to 14 days.  When I inject Botox in a patient for the first time, I have them return in 1 month so I can see the results.  I sometimes have to adjust the units depending on the strength of the patients muscles.  Good luck.

Most patients will begin to see changes in the way your face animates and softening of your fine lines and wrinkles as soon as 72-96 hours after Botox administration. Patients will see the full effect of Botox by 2 weeks after being injected. 

Botox results may be evident as soon as 48 hours after injection.  However, full results are evident by 14 days. 

Botox typically start working within 24-48 hours. Full results are acquired at 2 weeks. If you still see movement at 2 weeks you should make a follow up appointment with your Plastic Surgeon.

Since you've just had your injections yesterday, you'll need to give the product a little more time to work. Your results should then last for several months before you'll need another appointment to maintain the same smooth, youthful look.

It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Botox results last 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. The effects are may be first noticed in 72 hours but generally it takes up to 14 days to see the full effect. You may be asked to return after the first treatment so that your injector can assess your response.
