I have a wide nasal bone and deepest bridge (at least that is what I believe). I have uploaded pictures of myself, from different angles, without makeup and my goal pictures. Is my goal realistic? It doesn't need to be exact, but I want a much thinner and higher nose than the one I was born with. My concern is most before and after pictures are of women with large humps. I have yet to come by any Doctor who seems to work on my type of nose. I would love to hear your opinions.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty, I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. In your case, you would definitely need a radix graft. This is something that I commonly perform. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi @82sicil! Thank you for sending your photos--you are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are several options for you that can be determined after examination. A rhinoplasty in my opinion is one of the most difficult procedures to perform. In my practice, I utilize piezosurgery. Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures. Best of Luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Rhinoplasty in patients with wide noses: Rhinoplasty in patients with wide noses: from your photos it appears that you have a wide bridge and wide nasal tip. Rhinoplasty is commonly done for patients with white noses such as yours. How thin the nose ultimately gets depends on the thickness of the skin Cartlidge and bone involved, particularly the skin of the tip .The thinner the skin and cartilage and bone are , the finer and thinner the nose will become. People with thick skin particularly of the tip will get an improvement, but it will not be like the models you show. It does not appear that your nose could be made as thin as the girl in the last picture. Most plastic surgeons do many patients such as you but they are not usually featured in before and after pictures since the results are less dramatic in photographs than those noses with large humps or excessively long noses with down turned tips. The latter make a more visible difference in photographs and are more impressive in before and after pictures.

Answer: Rhinoplasty for a low wide bridge I agree that your bridge does appear wide and low, but this can be fixed with a rhinoplasty surgery. A graft might be needed to help provide the bridge projection you are looking for, but for such important decisions, you should meet in person with a rhinoplasty specialist who will spend plenty of time with you discussing your goals and deciding upon the right operative plan. Your tip appears bulbous, which will look even more so when your bridge is narrowed. During the rhinoplasty, the tip cartilage can be reshaped and trimmed so that your nose has a more defined, feminine look. I recommend consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon who has decades of experience with rhinoplasty surgery to discuss your concerns and expectations.
