I am biracial and have had issues with extremely thick scarring in the past (after breast reduction). I want 1-2 surgeries to alter the shape and size of my hooked nose. It is very large with a tall bridge and wide rounded nostrils. I am looking for a *dramatic *change with minimal scarring and no breathing issues.

Answer: There are individual surgical techniques. Each nose is operated with a unique surgical technique. In fact, the characteristic features of ethnic noses are the flattened nasal root and wide nasal wings. but each ethnic nose is different from each other. I couldn't make a full comment because the nose root (radix) is not seen in the photos you uploaded. If the radix is deeply located, it may be necessary to strengthen it with rib cartilage. In a successful surgery, you will not have problems with breathing.

You also have a hanging columella which is excess skin and cartilage between the nostrils which must be tucked inwards. If the tip of your nose droops dynamically when smiling, then it's important to release the depressor septi ligament. Osteotomies placed in the nasal bones are performed to narrow the bridge line. An alar plasty is performed to narrow wide nostrils.
