Hello, So I have my rhinoplasty coming up on the 28th of March, but I’m a little worried about how the scars will look. I am dark skinned and I am very prone to hyperpigmentation. I had my breast augmentation over a year now and scars are still visible, so I’m really scared it will be the same for my nose. How does scarring work on the nose for darker skin ?

You can safely get an alarplasty with sickle cell disease after discussing with your family physician or hematologist. A full rhinoplasty can be done as well but revision rhinoplasty is more risky because of vascularity issues secondary to sickle cell disease.
