My outer right eye (left in the picture) seems to droop downwards, especially if you look at the internet corner versus the outer you can see the outer hangs below the inner corner. Is there any ways to fix this or any specific procedures? I feel like it’s very noticeable and i’m not sure what caused that side to hang lower.
Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Blepharoplasty: things you should know Thank you for your question and photo. You may benefit from a blepharoplasty procedure to bring more symmetry to the eyes while reducing the downward droop you describe. This minimally invasive procedure can redefine the shape of the eyes by removing any excess skin and repositioning the fat in this area to create a symmetrical appearance that is harmonious with the rest of your facial features. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your concern and suggest the best treatment option for you.

Answer: This is not ptosis. This is not even mild ptosis. What is going on is a partial disinsertion of the anterior levator aponeurosis (the tendon that lifts the upper eyelid) in the upper eyelids. This partial disinsertion is not so severe to affect the upper eyelid enough to actually manifest upper eyelid ptosis or heaviness. However it is stimulating a compensatory eyebrow elevation. You may also benefit from a lateral canthoplasty to support the eye corners but that should be assessed with an actual physical examination. It is possible to perform a procedure called an anchor blepharoplasty to make a new hard crease and bring these tendon elements together strengthening them. When this is performed, the eyebrows often relax so there is a more normal amount of space between the eyelid margin and the eyebrows. This surgery is not standard and many eyelid surgeons really do not understand the mechanics of this. I would be very careful simply asking your local eyelid surgeon to do this. Study my attached video. There is no substitute for a detailed in person assessment. Your eyes can be your best feature.
