6 weeks after correction of previously face lift, the pain on my left ear lob is extreme, has got worse compare to first days. What might happen, the surgeon respond "the cost of Beauty)is not satisfactory at

Hi Etahbaz,Thank you for sharing your question with us,Sorry to hear you are in pain after your facelift, hopefully you have been for your follow up post -op, and have had a chance to speak to your Surgeon, with regards to pain. and progress.Discomfort and sensation of pressure, especially over and behind the ears, is quite usual. especially after disturbing the scar tissue around the area.  You will just need time to heal.Check with your surgeon to find the best way to manage the discomfort.All the best

Hello, hopefully this has been taken care of already. Sometimes a suture can be tight and pull on local structures. With time this should subside. Occasionally, once healed, steroid injections may help. You should keep in contact with your surgeon. Sorry to hear about your concern. Your surgeon 
is the best one to judge what is causing the pain. 
Often pain can be related to sutures pulling on the 
postauricular tissue areas. These sutures are needed
 to keep the neck lift part of the operation up while it heals.
They are mostly absorbable sutures so in the majority of 
cases the pain dissipates without further intervention. 
Discuss your concerns with your doctor and continue to

Thanks for the question.  It is probable that your discomfort will resolve with time.  However, it is quite possible that you have an element of scar tissue entangling the great auricular nerve that lies about 5 cm below the earlobe.  This is best determined by a physical exam so a visit to you surgeon is warranted to help better determine if that is the case.  Having said that, the good news is that with massage and time as the scar tissue remodels and softens this will in all likelihood completely resolve.  Try massaging ther area regularly and see your surgeon to ask his/her opinion.
