Lip injection follow up appointment

Question

I just got my lips done about 5 days ago. The doctor that did them told me that I need to come in again for what he called a "booster" appointment in 1 month so he can really even things out and add more filler if I'd like. I can see that I definitely do want a little more filler added because now that the swelling has gone down, the results aren't as much as I'd like. He's charging me an additional $330 (CAD) after my initial appointment was $530 and I'm wondering if this is standard practice?

Each Doctor will have their own protocol for follow up appointments. If you have questions, I recommend following up with your injector. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with filler. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for sharing your question.  Each surgeon and medical practice will have their own billing methods, but I prefer to charge patients for the cost of each syringe used.  In that way patients know exactly what their cost would be and can budget accordingly.  Hope this helps.
