Swelling is still normal at 6 weeks.  The amount of swelling you have depends on what was done to your nose when you had your rhinoplasty and how it was done.  Swelling usually lasts at least 3 months and there can be some residual swelling for up to a year.  If part of the nose is more swollen it can even make the bridge look narrower than it is.I think the best thing for you to do is speak with your plastic surgeon.  You said you were 18 and you might feel a little intimidated.  Please don't.  Your surgeon expects you to have questions and will not mind if you express your concerns.  Your surgeon can explain exactly what was done and give you an idea of what to expect at each stage of the healing process.  Best wishes to you.
