What type of rhinoplasty would suit my bulbous nose? (Photos)

For more elegant and small tip and even, upward nostrils I recommend you rhinoplasty surgery. With the alar base reduction your nostrils can be fixed as you wish. Thank you for your question. Your nasal tip belongs to the bulbous tip category, and good results can be expected with the surgical method. Surgery is possible through trimming and realignment of lower lateral cartilages (alar cartilages) in the tip. A natural increase in the tip height is aesthetically recommended and requires a structural cartilage graft. The cartilage donor is the septum or ear.

In my professional opinion, everybody has different facial features and according to your pictures you have a thick skin, therefore you need to set realistic expectations in terms of reduction, your nose can be reduced as much as your tissues will allow that to do so. Your nose can be slimmed down and tip and nostrils can also be reduced. Additionally, you will need some preparations for your skin to improve the quality pre-surgery.I am attaching a link for before and after of this procedure if you would like to look deeper into this surgery.

Thank you for your question. You are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty surgery. I suggest reshaping a bulbous, round and wide-tip nose to a more defined nose complementary to your face. The bulbosity of the nasal tip is typically due to excessive width to the cartilage and thick skin. Great results are achievable for patients who have bulbous nose or bulbous tip. With that said, there’s only so much we can do to make your nose very small. When a patient has thick skin it’s not possible to give them a very small and narrow nose but it’s definitely possible to give them a much better looking nose that’s natural and feminine which will compliment the facial features. Can your bulbous tip be made thinner? your tip does not appear to be extremely wide or bulbous. It can be made thinner, but how thin and defined the end result would be depends on the thickness and texture of the skin and underlying cartilage. This cannot be assessed just from a picture. But no matter what the thickness and texture of the skin and Cartlidge the tip could be made thinner.

Your nose has a nice hourglass shape on frontal view, however, if you were to want to reduce some of the nasal tip fullness there are options. A closed rhinoplasty (no external incisions) in your case would allow for subtle shaping of the nasal tip cartilages and give you and overall width reduction. From your photos, I note that your nasal bones are straight and symmetric. The nasal base appears normal. There is no tip droop. You demonstrate a strong somewhat high nasal bridge with a small hump, and a rounded amorphous nasal tip.
A rhinoplasty will lower the nasal bridge, creating a gentle feminine curve, will eliminate the hump, and will add definition to the nasal tip by removing segments of excessively large nasal tip cartilages.
