My scar looks pretty purple and like it also stretched out. I had lipo but i feel like I need it on my lower stomach. I’m 7 months post op. Your thoughts?

Answer: Liposuction After Tummytuck BabyZadwI appreciate your concern, and it does appear that you have residual, well localized fat of the lower central abdomen just above your scar. Also, it takes a solid 12 months for complete scar maturation, so this aspect may improve over the next five months. Your options include waiting another five months, and if no improvement of your lower abdomen or scar is realized, undergo touchup liposuction and scar revision at the same time. The other option is to go ahead with the touch up liposuction under local anesthesia now and address the scar later, if needed. Discuss these options with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Www.drjimeneztoribio.com thanks for your question, according to picture you look goo after tummy tuck, I don’t think May need scar revision but more lipo in abdomen area to take out the fat from that area. Usually with tummy tuck don’t get abdomen lipo to avoid a necrosis. Scar need to mature more is normal color change can use rose mosqueta oil to hydrate the scar. For a second round is necessary to wait 6 month or year Thanks again Jorge
