Dear Goldenat, Thanks for posting your picture and sorry for your unfortunate outcome. From observing your picture , it is obvious that you had complication after your tummy tuck surgery that resulted in skin loss , long healing and deformity of the skin flap. To improve on your condition , you will have to redo the tummy tuck, in order to re drape the skin flap in a more symmetrical and even fashion. From the apparent skin diffuse irregularities , it appears that you had liposuction surgery either before the tummy tuck surgery or during the tummy tuck surgery. These irregularities can be corrected later on with aggressive liposuction. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures of redo tummy tuck in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with flat stomach, nice belly button, narrower waists, improved body posture and low scar. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Hello.Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. Thank you for your picture. Based on your image, it appears you may benefit from a full tummy tuck procedure. Please visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.
Dear Goldenat57,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from scar revision. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photo, it appears that you had an area of delayed healing following your abdominoplasty which is presently healing satisfactorily. It takes a year for the swelling and hypervascularity of healing to subside. At that time, one would consider a scar revision to flatten the area and improve the appearance of the scar. Continue followup with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
The best option is revision tummy tuck and possible liposuction and fat grafting. Please see the link
This is a complex problem. More history including prior surgeries, what was performed at the time of your procedure and the post-operative course would help in understanding the nature of the problem. At only 7 months post surgery I would recommend patience and waiting for the scar tissue to soften prior to any revision. Massage of the site and topical silicone products to soften the scar would make the revision easier. A combination of liposuction and surgical scar revision is what I would recommend based upon the photo, however a thorough history and physical exam is necessary. First, I'd recommend your speak to your surgeon. Then, get a second opinion from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
It is difficult to answer your question without an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. That being said, you would likely benefit from an ultra high defintion tummy tuck to address the scarring, given there is enough excess skin to perform the operation. This procedure would also comprehensively remove excess skin and fat in the abdominal region. The abdominal muscle would also be 'tightened' to create the appearance of a flatter stomach. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a tummy tuck specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing.Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
i would strongly suggest that if you can, you wait closer to a year post op. This will give your scar and the tissues, more time to soften etc. Sometimes if you operate too soon, you get an increased about of inflammation which will lead to increased scarring and thus sabotage your efforts to improve. i would recommend that you be seen in person. i am not sure that you need to redo your entire TT, as some of the others have suggested. That would be quite expensive. you may be able to do a scar revision.david berman md
BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it is capable of producing a 45% contraction in tissues. It can be combined with liposuction to improve contours dramatically. Results can be seen immediately after one treatment and are more evident over three to six months post-treatment. Wait until six...

No standard approach exists among PSs. Recommend that you consult with the PS who performed your TT to determine his/her policy regarding dog ear revision. This policy varies with the PS and whether the original surgery was performed by him/her. Some surgeons' revision policy waives thei...
