I have a little extra loose skin above c-section scar now, also extra fat on love handles and back fat I can't get ride of. Can csection scar be removed, not sure how a revision works?

Dear Nadine,  Thanks for posting your pictures, though a side view picture would have been helpful. Congrats on your baby.   From observing your front picture, your stomach looks fine, though, side view might reveal muscles laxity. If the stomach is real flat, all you need is aggressive liposuction for the abdomen, hips, waists and  flanks. I use 11 small incision from multiple direction in order to achieve optimal result.  As far as your C section scar, it can be revised at the same time.   Always, consult with experience board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures of liposuction in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with elimination of the skin fold in the back.                          Best of luck,                                             Dr Widder

Thanks so much for your photos and questions.  You are a great candidate for lipo to the flanks and lumbar rolls. As for your tummy, it's hard to tell by your photos as your tummy looks quite flat from the front view.  Because it's been 9 years and you've had a pregnancy, you may require a secondary tummy tuck due to stretching of the skin and muscle. I would only recommend repeating the tummy tuck if you were not planning on further pregnancies and unhappy with the appearance of your abdomen. All the best!!

Nadine,I would have to see your lower abdominal skin to see if you require a 'touch up', mini-abdominoplasty or simply liposuction of the lower abdomen.  You sides and lower back (you may want to consider your upper back too as your lower sides and back will look very thin post liposuction making the upper back appear even larger), would do wonderfully with liposuction.Good luck.Dr T

Hi, thank you for your question. After looking at your pictures high definition VASER liposuction and renuvion skin tightening could be used to tighten your back and flanks. However, if you are looking for a more hourglass figure, you should consider a BBL as well. A  BBL and high definition VASER liposuction could create a pleasing aesthetic with a defined and countoured body. The most important part is finding an experienced surgeon. Your tummy tuck still looks good despite having had a recent pregnancy. I think a revision which would more or less be a mini tummy tuck could give a nice moderate improvement to your lower abdomen. In regards to invasive Ness and recovery it’s a very easy procedure and nothing in comparison to your full tummy tuck.The best procedure for your backside is liposuction. A lot of the issues are due to skin laxity and this will only be partially corrected from liposuction. There’s no good skin tightening procedure on the back. Take a look at some of the liposuction results from back liposuction I’ve posted on real self.During consultations are usually explain the difference between skin and fat by putting the back skin under tension either by lifting the skin up with my hands or asking the patients to take one arm and stretch it over their head putting the back skin on one side under tension. Do this while looking in the mirror and you’ll see that the contour changes drastically with the skin under tension.. Putting the skin under tension clearly demonstrates what is fat and watch the skin.If there’s no change in contour with the skin under tension it is the problem is usually 100% related to subcutaneous fat. If the contour is perfect with the skin under tension and the problem is usually all related to skin laxity. For the great majority of people in regards to the back it’s a combination of both.The shoulder has the greatest mobility of any joints in the body. In order to have that much range of motion there has to be skin laxity with the arm in a down position.Personally I perform these procedures using local anesthesia With mild sedation keeping my patients awake. Most plastic surgeons will probably prefer general anesthesia.A revision of your tummy tuck is straightforward and should give a nice result regardless of who you go to. Liposuction on the other hand has results that vary greatly among different providers. some providers rarely do back liposuction. I typically include the back for all abdominal liposuction cases. I view the torso as a single anatomic unit and usually treated as a single unit treating all areas in order to maintain an even natural fat distribution.Have a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons. Look for plastic surgeons who have extensive liposuction experience and asked to see multiple before and after pictures of back liposuction results.Keep consulting with new providers until you find one you feel comfortable with.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
