Hi, I am 33 and had an extended tummy tuck 4 years ago. Since that time I have given birth again (7 months ago) I didn’t gain much weight and am actually lighter than pre baby weight now but my stomach is no longer flat. I seem to have a bulge now above the scar. Will weight loss fix this or will I need to have a revision to get it back to flat? Thanks

Answer: Pregnancy after TT It will be mandatory to lose some weight in order to create a more balanced body. Your incision is very high, the abdominal flap is thick and also the mons pubic area and definitely you have some excess of skin as the result of the pregnancy. So after losing some weight (6-8 lbs) you will be candidate for liposuction all over abdomen, waist, mons reduction (lipectomy), lower the incision, remove some excess of abdominal skin. Be encouraged!! Dr. Cárdenas

Answer: Surgery Try weight loss first. If then you still have excess fat, liposuction may work. If you have excess skin, you will need a revision. However, avoid any revisions until you have had all the children you want.
