If you have not had a recent mammogram, you can start with a visit to your primary care physician for a baseline evaluation and imaging studies. You can then follow with a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.

If you are noticing no other changes with the affected breast such as hardening or change of shape you may want to begin with a visit to the physician you see for breast health. A mammogram or further testing may be required to determine what may be causing your discomfort. During a mammogram they often can check for any obvious issues with your implant.

You may be developing a capsule that is causing some discomfort. I would first get a mammogram to check your breast tissue to make sure there is no issue, and then visit with a board certified plastic surgeon and be checked.

You are experiencing discomfort and sensory issues with your 11 year old breast implants. It is possible that you have developed beginning scar formation around your implant, which could changes your sensation (capsular contracture).

As a first step, you should return to your plastic surgeon for an examination of your enlargements. A mammogram may be recommended. An ultrasound can also help diagnose these symptoms. If you have signs of swelling, your surgeon may want to check for fluid around the implants after this ultrasound. Treatment should be based upon the results of your doctors evaluation.
