Had Hyaluronidase to dissolve old under eye filler a few days ago and now I have blurry vision. Is this normal?

I had some old filler removed with Hyaluronidase. I was fine the first day and the filler started to ware down, but now my eyes feel very strange and my vision is not focused. The eyes feel like they are falling into my head, and dry. When he injected the filler it was oozing out of my eye sockets, which I assume is normal. He is a Diamond certified injector too, so very experienced. I do have some undiagnosed connective tissue autoimmune issues, so hope this won't effect me negatively in the long run:(

Hi.  Hyaluronidase injections to dissolve tear trough filler should not cause any vision problems. Autoimmune diseases can often cause eye problems. You need to follow up with your injector as well as an ophthalmologist (or oculoplastic surgeon) immediately. Hello and thank you for your question. It is a very unusual and not a normal reaction you are having.  I hope that the injected area is healing well and the bumps which were bothering you have disappeared. Hyaluronidase is produced by our body naturally, so it's not a foreign body reaction. Regarding blurry vision, it might only be coincidental but I strongly advice that you see the doctor who injected you as well as make an appointment for an eye doctor to have your vision checked. Since you mentioned autoimmune disorder, many of them affect the production of tears and saliva and cause dry eye syndrome but it's better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps, Best.Dr.Avaliani
