Hyaluronidase does not remove Aquamid, which is a permanent filler made of polyacrylamide spheres. In the past I've removed Aquamid with surgery when it caused a serious contour abnormality.
Longterm filler problems include migration, edema, and nodularity. Filler migration and permanence is a very common problem because there are many different types of HA fillers on the market and each is specified for a specific part of the face. Use of highly cohesive fillers on thin skin may cause swelling and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes Hylenex and Hyaluronidase in different strengths to dissolve the filler. We may also need to add Kenalog to the mix in order to reduce fibrous tissue. If the filler does not dissolve, it either means the filler is not HA material or we need more enzyme. The HA reversal can be combined with other lasers and skin treatments at the same time, and it usually (usually) does not affect adjacent tissue. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Hello, thank you for your question. The answer is no, hyaluronidase cannot remove Aquamid filler, which is a permanent filler. Hyaluronidase only works to remove hyaluronic acid fillers. In order to remove Aquamid, you will have to undergo a surgical procedure.
Unfortunately Aquamid is a filler that cannot be removed by hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase only works on HA fillers. If you are having serious issues I would recommend that you remove it surgically. If you just don't like it, you may just want to wait for it to go away. Although that can be upwards of ten years...... Thank you for sharing your photo. Please stop injecting hyaluronidase injection. You can try RF treatment , which can greatly improve the appearance by removing the puffiness and tighten the skin under eyes.
After hyaluronidase injections it can take 2 weeks for the final outcome to be seen. Bruising can take 1-2 weeks to improve to that area.
You can use the dermaroller after fillers without any problems. Keep in mind, that you will have swelling with fillers, for up to two weeks, before you have your final results. I do recommend you see an expert for your dermaroller treatment. Best, Dr. Emer
