Can I Reduce the Size of my Areolas Without Surgery?

Question

Im only 14 and i have huge breasts that sag and the areolas around my nipples are very large and it makes me wonder why i dont have normal breasts like any other 14 year old girl. And since im 14 i cant get surgery done, so i was wondering if theres anything that i could do myself to make my nipples smaller and have a bit perkier breast. Thanks

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling this way about your breasts.  Unfortunately, there is no way to substantially reduce the size of your breasts or areolas without surgery.  Your breasts are likely still developing since you are only 14 years old.  Once you have finished growing and your breasts completed development, you might be a candidate for breast reduction/areola reduction.  Breasts do fluctuate some with weight, so you if you are overweight, losing weight can help reduce some of your symptoms.  I would recommend discussing with your pediatrician or family doctor regarding your concerns at this point for reassurance and further recommendations.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with extra large breasts at such a young age.  Unfortunately, nothing other than surgery can reduce the size of your areolas, or your breasts themselves for that matter.  If you are overweight, dropping some pounds may help a bit.  But it's very likely that breast/areola reduction surgery is the answer.

	You're right that you're too young for such a procedure.  You can aim for surgery when your breasts have stopped growing, whether you're 17, 18 or a year younger or older.  Can you talk with your parents about this issue?  Helping them understand what you're going through should pave the way for their support for breast reduction surgery when the time is right.
	
	In the meantime, I would suggest that you try to maintain a normal weight and make sure you support your breasts well so they don't sag.  Find clothing that doesn't draw attention to your chest and wait it out a few years.  There's nothing wrong with you--you're just the unfortunate recipient of this quirk of Mother Nature.
