I find that noninvasive treatments don't work well in this area, the best treatments are liposuction with laser or ultrasound. I suggest seeking the advice of an expert for this, which is very easy to treat and has a low amount of downtime. Best, Dr. Emer.
Liposuction of the mons is very effective in this case.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA...............
I'm not sure cool sculpture could be adapted to the Mons. Conventional liposuction would yield a very good result in can be performed with local anesthesia.
Hi,I think that conventional liposuction (under local anesthesia) or SmartLipo is the best solution along with Labial Reduction for your problemwarm regardsDr Prashant Murugkar
The CoolSculpting has to be able to draw tissue into the applicator. The Mons Pubis area doesn't have a roll that allows for this. If there is an area just above this then that is potentially appropriate. Please see Board Certified Plastic Surgeon regarding this area and procedures that could be performed that are the most appropriate.
I strongly urge you to avoid coolsculpting of the mons pubis. The instrumentation would not allow this area to be sculpted appropriately. In order for the cooling to take place the fat must be sucked into a "paddle" of sorts and this would not be good for this area. Liposuction is a great option and you should make a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in both techniques..
Standard lipo is best for the mons. Any removal of fat from the labia majora risks the appearance of deflated skin as that skin does not shrink well.
I agree with the other authors in that 1) you are early in the post operative phase and 2) You should aggressively message the tissues to keep from developing adhesions. However, you should know that there is a chance that best resolution may involve secondary surgery such as a skin only...
Without seeing any pictures, or knowing your height/weight it is difficult really say. However, I usually encourage my patients to not get to caught up on a specific number in regards to the expected volume to be removed. I think it is very important to convey your concerns and expections to y...
I agree with Dr. Commons. Time is the best medicine. The only things that I would add would be...1. Lymphatic massage. This is very mild massage to keep the fluid dissipate, and needs to be done with a person trained to do post op massage.2. Arnica Montana....
If a seroma develops it typically resolves after 2-3 months. Compresion and continued aspiration are important to keep the area from scarring. I do suggest ultrasound treatments and/or massage as well, but some people do not. Follow your doctors recommendations or see someone...
Tough question, because it will depend on who you meet with, but that would be very unlikely. I would advise you to meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon to go over your options. Traveling abroad for discount plastic surgery procedures can be very risky. It is important to be able to fo...
