Unfortunately Emsculpt only addresses muscle tone and overlying fat and is not designed to tighten skin. If loose skin is mild, sometime Morpheus treatment can help tighten the skin, But if excess skin is moderate to severe, then only abdominoplasty or tummy tuck will effectively eliminate the extra skin.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Without seeing a picture it is very difficult to determine if you would be a candidate for EmSculpt. EmSculpt can help tighten and tone, but in some cases, surgery may be a better option. Please consult with a local provider to determine the best course of action. Good luck!
Hi widowofhop3,Emsculpt is a muscle building treatment, in addition it reduces superficial abdominal fat. It is not considered a skin tightening technology, though with increased muscle mass there will be some improvement as the new muscle takes up some of the slack in the skin. We recommend other radiofrequency skin tightening devices such as Venus Legacy for post partum moms. Emsculpt is quite effective at improving diastasis recti after pregnancy (the widening of the connective tissue between the abdominal muscles.) Congratulations on the new addition to your family, much good health, love, and happiness. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
Thanks for the question and its a great one. So the simple answer is if you have a little bit of loose skin and a solid in your muscles or a diastasis the machine is great. It won't iron out your skin but will give you a better feeling and appearance without surgery and a scar. Its all a trade off though of your goals expectations and tolerance for downtime and scars
if you have loose skin it will need removal or interal heating for good results. Emsculpt will not tighten loose skin. Best, Dr. Emer.
EMSculpt uses high intensity electromagnetic energy to stimulate muscle building and fat reduction. It helps strengthen abdominal wall weakness after pregnancy. It has no effect on loose skin. There are other non-surgical options for loose skin available. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
I would recommend either of the following 3 non-surgical options either alone or in combination: Secret RF (Microneedling with radiofrequency), Ultherapy, and PDO threads. Make sure you are getting treatment from a board-certified physician or other experienced health care professional.
This is a great question. EmSculpt is used for the purpose of muscle growth and toning, so it will have very little to no effect on skin laxity. However, a good option for post pregnancy laxity would be the Exilis treatment. It is made by the same manufacturer of EmSculpt. Exilis uses radio-frequency and ultrasound technology to tighten the skin and improve body concerns.
Hello and thank you for your question! Though it is common to have loose abdominal skin after pregnancy, EMSCULPT is probably not the right choice for this. In my clinic we have been treating abdomens on females with EMSCULPT to strengthen core muscles. Some have had loose skin and we've paired it with Alastin transForm body cream to treat some skin laxity. We've had great results so far. To treat loose skin specifically, consider Profound RF. We've also had great success with this technology.I hope this helps! Good luck!
Emsculpt is a non-invasive treatment designed to help you build the muscles in the abdomen. This treatment will not improve skin laxity. There are other non-invasive treatments that can improve skin laxity like ultherapy or laser resurfacing. It is important that you visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation so that you can be evaluated and offered the right procedure for you and your concerns.
