Is Emsculpt dangerous if you have had surgery and or arthritis?

Hi, i am curious about Emsculpt but I have arthritis and have had surgery with some titanium screws. Will this be a problem?

Thanks for the question, the device does use electromagnetic energy and can conduct energy into metals if the metals are in the field. Depending on where the screw is we may be able to use the device. Speak to a provider who has one to see if a safe treatment zone can be created!

Hi Rob,Emsculpt is absolutely safe in patients with arthritis.  Emsculpt is safe in patients with Titanium screws as long as they are away from the area treated.  Many providers will treat patients with Titanium even when the screws are closer to the treatment area sinceTitanium does not heat up as other metals do.  Make sure to discuss with your provider prior to any treatment.  Good luck and be well.  Dr. P

EMsculpt is safe as long as you don't have any metal implants or devices. It will contract your muscles for you leaving you with the results of a workout. You can speak with your doctor to confirm that you are good to go for the procedure, but this should be fine!

Hi, thank you for your question. EmSculpt is a safe option and will not affect your arthritis. It is also alright to use with titanium screws since titanium does not conduct heat. It is best if the screws are not near the treatment area, but either way they should not be an issue. I hope this helps.

Since titanium is non-ferrous it is safe to  have the EMSculpt procedure.  Arthritis is not a contraindication.  Visit your EMSculpt provider for a full consultation.
