I’ve been considering coolsculpt but I keep reading mixed reviews so I’d love to hear from the experts. I work out regularly but have stubborn lower belly fat. Would coolsculpt work for me? Any long term effects, like a shift in fat to other areas or lumpiness? I’ve also read about nerve damage, is that common? Also NYC based if anyone has recommendations.
Answer: CoolSculpting Candidate Hello, Thank you for your questions and pictures. Based on what can be seen it does appear that you would benefit from CoolSculpting. Nerve damage and fat shifting is no common but is listed as a possible (rare) side effect. Please consult with a local physician in person to determine the best way to proceed and to get your questions answered thoroughly. Good luck!

Answer: CoolSculpting Hello, thank you for your question! From your photos and descriptions, you appear to be a good candidate for CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is a great option for people who are healthy, within their target weight range, who struggle with localized areas of stubborn fat. Usually, as long a healthy lifestyle is maintained, patients continue to enjoy the results of their CoolSculpting for years. Patients love CoolSculpting because it is safe and effective, with little or no downtime and lasting results. I have not seen cases of fat shifting or lumpiness. In my experience, nerve damage is uncommon, although you may experience numbness that can last for a period of days to a month or so. I recommend scheduling a consultation with an experienced CoolSculpting provider to determine a treatment plan that will help you meet your goals. Best of luck!

Answer: Would You Recommend CoolSculpting for Me? CoolSculpting Great as Figure Finisher Your photos indicate that you could be an excellent candidate for CoolSculpting because you have just a small amount of fat on an otherwise toned body. CoolSculpting is perfect for finishing off a figure like that by removing exercise-resistant fat. CoolSculpting is safe and does not cause nerve damage. Or, I should say, that would be an extremely rare event. In the many thousands of CoolSculpting procedures we’ve performed at our center, we haven’t encountered any such cases. Our patients are thrilled with their results. You might not even need more than one session. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who’s been certified as an expert by Zeltiq and who also offers Zimmer Z-Wave radial pulsed therapy directly after your CoolSculpting session for best results.

Answer: Coolsculpting Candidate--Getting Great Results with Coolsculpting--Add Vanquish for Fire And Ice Treatment For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Perfect CS Candidate Hi, thanks for the question and the pictures. You are a perfect candidate for CS. You will lose 20-25% of the fat in the area that is treated. You will likely need to treat the area twice to get the WOW results you are looking for. There are no long term effects. There is no shifting or fat or lumpiness. If you do gain weight in the future, you will notice it in other areas of your body, but not in the treated areas. Nerve damage is uncommon. Typical side effects are soreness, numbness, itching, tingling sensations - all of which are mild, will not require any treatment, and resolve in a few days to a few weeks. You do not have enough fat to do liposuction. Other non-invasive treatments do not work as well as CS.Best of luck,Michael Kerin MDKerin MedSpa
