I am from ve weeks post op ba one implant is harder then the other what could this mean? Should I be worried
Answer: Hardness after implants Thank you for your question. If you are early in your healing process, you likely have more swelling on one side compared to the other. This would be the most common reason for a difference in how they feel. After 3-6 months, all of your swelling should be resolved. If you notice a change in hardness after one year or so, you may have a capsular contracture. Best to follow your surgeon's advice. Good luck.

Answer: One implant harder than the other. What could this mean? You need to be examined by your surgeon. Five weeks is too early for capsular contracture. My concern would be a hematoma which needs to be diagnosed by your surgeon. Hopefully the pocket is just smaller on that side or you are having muscle spasm.

Answer: One side harder Early in the healing process it is common to have asymmetries in softness, healing, dropping, or sensation. Massage both sides and be patient. I tell my patients to think of their breast surgery as two separate surgeries with two different rates of healing. Most likely a small difference in the firmness is normal. However, swelling or bleeding could cause firmness asymmetry and should be addressed immediately. I would encourage you to discuss this with your surgeon. Best wishes!

Answer: Hard implant Swelling is part of the healing process, and this could last up to 6 months after your surgery. The swelling is not always even on both sides so one could be more swollen on the other side. Just make sure that you are following post-op directions, including wearing specific garments. If you are noticing signs of infection such as inflammation, redness, warmth, pain, then you should go to your surgeon for better evaluation.
