I am only day 2 out and I feel serious boob greed. I am tall, 5'8" and my range was 450 to 500cc's. I ended up with 450 and I really feel this won't be big enough to fill the sacks and also give me the look I desire. I am of course swollen and high now, but that will go down and then what? I feel so bummed! I've seen women that are only 5'1 with 500 and 550cc's and look great. What can I do? How soon to schedule a revision?
Answer: Breast Implant Sizing and Boob Greed Given that you are very early in the postoperative period, I would say give it some time for now. Once you are 4-6 months out you can evaluate your final results at that point. In general, we base implant sizes on the tissue characteristics, measurements, and patient sizing and desires. In certain cases going bigger is not always the best for the patient. Going to big for ones body can lead to issues such as capsular contracture, implant rippling, bottoming out, premature stretching of the tissues and more. Also 50cc is not a significant difference, meaning a 450 cc implant vs a 500 cc implant would not make a tremendous difference in appearance. All said, I would continue with your follow ups with your surgeon and be patient during the next 4-6 months to see how things shape up. You may wind up being quite surprised how things shape up.Hope that helps.

Answer: I only got 450cc and I think this was too small to fill out my empty sacks Thank you for your questions. Hard to say without any pictures of post-op period. I think that a 450 cc implant is large and should make a big impact on your look. But only time will tell. Be patient and wait until at least 3 months post-op to discuss the results with your surgeon. The other thing to consider is whether or not you also needed a lift to complete the look you had in mind. Discuss this with your surgeon as well.Best of luck!

Answer: Breast size after BA Dear gfly43,dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position. I understand that you are worried about the size of your breasts. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. Answer: Doubting your choice so soon after surgery makes me wonder how you ended up choosing the size you got? And if your range was 450 to 500, why was the 450 chosen? Was your surgeon involved and guide you or did your surgeon choose for you after you discussed what your goals were? Regardless, you're not happy now and I'm sorry you're feeling this way. But at this point, since your surgery is done, the worst thing you can do is try to demand another procedure with larger implants. The best thing you can do is to simply be patient and see if what you have will 'grow on you' as you may find the improvements 'good enough' and a marked improvement over where you started from. And if you still find that you're not filled out as you anticipated, then you can schedule your revision but if you do go larger, please make it at least 100 cc's more or it really isn't worth going back for smaller increases when fat grafting and padded bras are out there.
