Despite having had braces for 2 years and consistently wearing a retainer, I do not like the appearance of my two front teeth. I feel as though they look too large and spread apart. Would veneers be suitable?
Answer: Recontour teeth or #veneers #DrSoftTouch Hello Alyssa,I would recommend trying the least expensive option first, which would be recontouring your two front teeth. If you still aren't satisfied with your teeth after that, then the best option at that point would be to place veneers. I would recommend doing a little research online and finding a dentist with great before and after photos. This will give you a pretty good indication of what you can expect from the dentist that you select. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Anterior veneers Dear alyssam24, Yes, I would agree that your front teeth look too large and a bit flaring. It's hard to tell from this picture, but it seems to me that all your upper teeth look that way. You can’t make your teeth smaller by just doing veneers, especially lumineers. I would advise you to find a prosthodontist in your area that could work in conjunction with your orthodontist to decrease the flare and reshape your upper teeth at the same time. Only after you're happy with the tooth positioning should you proceed with the veneers. Another option would be doing 8–10 veneers.

Answer: Veneers may be an option Although veneers may be an option for your front teeth, you may want to consider some orthodontic treatment to reposition your teeth and possibly a fixed retainer to prevent future movement.

Answer: Porcelain veneers I agree with you as far as your two front teeth are too large in comparison to the rest of your teeth. I would look into lumineers. lumineers are no prep veneers. Cosmetic dentist can make the two front teeth l smaller and more narrow and make your laterals a little larger, so your teeth are more in harmony and match in size.. good luck

Answer: Two front veneers? Thanks for posting the picture. I do see where your front teeth are splaying out. I don't think veneers or recontouring are the answer. I suggest you visit your orthodontist and discuss the possibility that you may have a tongue thrust. This occurs when you swallow, your tongue moves forward instead of to the roof of your mouth. If you don't correct the tongue thrust nothing will stay stable. You don't mention what your teeth looked like before you got braces. Were they open in the front or splayed as they are now? Discuss your concerns with your orthodontist. Veneers are definately not the best answer for this situation.
