What is the best way to get my nipples to soften up after having breast lift surgery. My lift was about 4 months ago. I also have saline breast implants that are about 7 years old.

Truly time will take care of this. You can massage the area is manually to help that scar tissue so often. It's just going to require patience to allow the tissues to completely heal and soften.

It takes time for tissues to soften up and stretch after surgery.  You can add massage while you let time soften things up.

TIme, Time, Time.  I can take up to 6 months for swelling to improve, I know it is hard but be patient.  Deep massage is also helpful to soften the scar tissue.Routine follow-up with your surgeon is also important.

Some patients notice greater nipple prominence after breast augmentation and breast lift. It is possible your nipples are swollen, in which case you could try massage. It is possible your nipples were more relaxed when the skin was looser, and now that the skin is tightened, they are more prominent. You should see your plastic surgeon for an assessment and advice.

Massaged is very important to soften the scarring around the nipple areola after breast lift surgery.  Of course you need to check with your plastic surgeon if your wounds are stable enough or vigorous massage.  If your scars are red and raised treatments with the 1540 non-ablative fractional erbium laser can also be very helpful in reducing redness and firmness of scar tissue.
