I'm having a breast augmentation in a few weeks using polyurethane (furry brazilian) implants at 610cc. The surgery is providing me with compression bras but I'm wondering if I wanted to remove them for a night or a couple of hours or something if I'd be able to do so without causing any damage, or how long I would have to wait to do so? The intention being to wear a more normal bra at such times.

Answer: Compression Bra after Breast Augmentation Ask your plastic surgeon. In some instances a bra is purely for support and shaping, in which case removing it periodically shouldn't be a problem. Occasionally, however, a bra can help keep an implant in place such is when the fibers along the folds are particularly lax. Since your surgeon knows the purpose, he/she can guide you.

Answer: Can I remove my compression bra When to wear a bra or compression bra after breast augmentation is definitely a question I would ask you plastic surgeon as everyone has a different opinion and a reason for that opinion. How you heal in the first several weeks can also impact the decisions. Check with you plastic surgeon for specifics. Good luck, Dean Vistnes.
