I am glad to hear that your doctor was honest by telling you that you do not have enough fat for BBL nor did s/he ask you to gain weight for a BBL. Even if you did have enough fat for BBL there is no comparison for the predictability, reliability, and permanent results of buttock implants. Glad to be of help.
In thinner patients, buttock implants may be the only option to augment as fat reserves may be in too small a supply. The benefits of buttock implants will be that they are permanent solution. The implants are solid silicone with some flexibility. These will not rupture in the conventional sense. They will provide a durable and predictable improvement. Consult with a board certified PS via email or Skype.
Dear cali2000,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
HEllo @cali2000,The easy answer is gain weight. Once your BMI is 23 or greater you will have enough fat for a BBL. In the meantime if you add exercises like squats and lunges and stair masters to build your gluteal muscles you will be able to build your booty.SincerelyDr.G
Rarely is somebody not at all a candidate for a BBL. At your current height and weight you can probably have a modest improvement with fat transfer but it will require liposuction of most of your body. This means liposuction of your full torso(upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, back and under arms), Arms inner knees and inner thighs. With that amount of Liposuction someone can probably fairly easily harvest 1.5 L of fat.750 mL should be plenty for a great BBL.I recommend having more consultations.Gluteal implants are an option. They have a long list of complications that often lead to disfigurement. If you do choose implants make sure you go to a provider who does them on a regular basis. There are very legitimate reasons why most plastic surgeons in the United States do not offer gluteal implants.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
The procedure you described is particular to patients after massive weight loss will have extensive skin laxity allowing fat flaps to be advanced into the buttocks. You don’t have enough skin laxity for this procedure to be successful. It will limit augmentation to only the upper part of your b...
Its difficult to tell without seeing photos however it seems that you would benefit from a buttock implant. Please be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well known in the medical community.
Hello, thank you for your question. Fat can be transferred to this area, or butt implants can be an option as well. A physical examination is required, I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine what procedure is best for you.
It seems a buttock implant would be a great solution to your problem. An in person or virtual consultation would be necessary. Please be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well known in the medical community.
Unfortunately this cannot be fixed without surgery. Regarding surgical options, you will mostly come across fat transfer (a.k.a. Brazilian butt lift, “BBL”) and buttock implants. The main difference is that the buttock implants are a much more reliable, predictable and permanent option. You...
It’s a little hard to know exactly what you were describing without the pictures. Consider reposting with pictures of yourself and perhaps an ideal so we know what you would like to achieve. Generally speaking and attempt to create a crease or a distinct transition between the lower buttocks i...
