I have a dent on my buttock from what seems to be molding due to me sitting on my right foot, is this fixable?

Hi there! I have a new job working at a call center, so lately I’ve been sitting a lot. I’ve started to bend in my right leg in and sit on it, with my foot right underneath my left buttock. I’ve just realized that there is now a dent there. Is this fixable? Would working out my glutes help reshape them again.

People naturally have all sorts of asymmetries all over their bodies. If you have a "dent", many surgeons fix this by using liposuction to take some fat from a different area of the body and then injecting into the area of the dent. As always, be sure to research the surgeon doing your procedure to increase the chances of a favorable result.

Its difficult to tell without seeing photos however it seems that you would benefit from a buttock implant. Please be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well known in the medical community.

I think it’s unlikely you have an indentation from sitting on your foot.

For this to happen you must’ve developed tissue necrosis from sitting in that position. Early tissue necrosis is usually extremely painful and this prevents people from staying in a dangerous position for excessive amounts of time.

This is why for example people who have no sensation like paraplegics get pressure sores while others will wiggle on their chair and change pressure points before tissue gets damaged.

Without pictures we can’t make an assessment. I suggest having a few in person consultations.

In general contour defects or indentations do not respond all that well to fat transfer.
