I'm 5'2" 110lb and had mild ptosis. A previous periaerioral lift didn't do much so I wanted to add an implant. The plan was 230-300cc with possible lift decided in the OR, I ended up with 300cc in an effort to avoid the lift. Now my breasts are huge and still saggy and I've scheduled a revision with the same Dr to replace with smaller implants and an anchor lift. He doesn't want to go below 250cc but I'm concerned it's still too large. Will going from 300 to 250 make a visible difference?

Answer: Best breast implants for me during downsizing breast implant surgery… Downsizing about 50 cc likely make a minimally noticeable difference. Keep in mind, that undergoing a "anchor breast lift" will also create a visible difference. In other words, there are many "moving parts" that come into play with this type of breast surgery.Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary (downsizing) breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "down a cup size” or "C or D cup" or "visible difference" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Will going down to 250cc from 300cc make a visible difference? Without examining you or seeing photos its difficult to give specific advice but it sounds like you may want to get a second opinion. You will notice a slight difference between the two implants, but if what you want is smaller than is being offered then you should go speak to another board-certified plastic surgeon or two in the area to see what other options you may have. Best of luck!
