Thank you for your question,PRP can reduce hair shedding and increase the diameter o the hair but it is difficult to determine the result due to other factors. The patient's role in the process is very important along with the medical part. There are many factors to consider before reaching the desired goal. For instance, the use of alcohol diminishes the body's ability to release stem cells, smoking reduces the vascular supply that feeds follicles, certain medications also hinder such as N saids and Corticosteroids, having a recent fever or illness should give reason to wait up to 60 days before treatment and if follicles have been absent for more than 4-6 years those units will not regenerate. With some of these things in mind, one must consider health and lifestyle of the individual before going forward with the procedure. PRP is a wonderful plan for hair therapy. It does help with shedding, the diameter and regrowth but some of the outcomes depend on the individual doing their part as well. If the patient and doctor work together and compliance is foremost, then the results should be achievable. As always, it is important for your to consult with your doctor about any questions or concerns you may have. They are our best resource.Thank you for your question. Best wishes in your endeavors!
