5 days after my rhinoplasty, can I go to my concert?

Hi, I scheduled my rhinoplasty for august 28th, but I forgot that 5 days later i'm supposed to go to a show... It's my favorite artist and I can't miss this... But i'll be sit during the concert... Please tell me that it's realist to go to my concert?

Hello,I personally wouldn't recommend going to a concert 5 day post op. Your nose will be very sensitive and the cast will be on. If you are just sitting and listening to music, I don't see the harm.  If you're nose is in harm's way during the concert, then I don't see how you could.  Speak with your own surgeon for sure.

5 days after surgery is a bit too soon to be going to a concert. In all likelihood, you will also be wearing a splint and be bruised and swollen.

Generally, the answer is yes that you would be able to attend a concert 5 days after rhinoplasty. However, consult with your surgeon as he/she knows the scope of the surgery and the specifics about you.

I do not use a cast, only a clear splint.  You should be able to attend and good for you not being embarrassed to do something you love even if you have a splint and post op bruising!  My only concern would be for sun exposure if it is outdoors.  Take it in moderation and enjoy.
