Yellowish bruising / swelling after Smart Lipo, does this look normal? (photo)

Although this shows more bruising than what is typical with Smartlipo, this appears to be normal healing and should resolve within 2 weeks.  I recommend taking Arnica supplements to help with this type of bruise.Good luck!

This looks completely normal/expected. The yellowish appearance, which you may also notice in resolving bruising after getting blood drawn, is due to the breakdown of hemoglobin in your skin.

I perform hundreds of Smartlipo procedures annually, and the amount of swelling and bruising varies.  This is totally normal.  Bruising usually goes through stages, first looking purple or blue when blood first enters skin tissue.  As the red blood cells die off, they leave an iron staining (hemosiderosis) that appears yellow.  This usually fades in a couple of weeks.Wishing you a speedy recovery and great results!Dr. Windell Davis Boutte'
