Ptosis correction for asymmetry caused by Graves Disease? (Photo)
I am keen to get professional advice on my situation. 8 years ago I iwas treated for Grave's disease which is now under control and no medication needed. One of the side effects was bulging of my right eye which never fully returned back to its normal size. In about the last 4-5 years my left eyelid started to loop droopier and recently this has been looking worse when I'm tired or stressed. Overall the right bulging eye and left droopy eye give me an asymmetrical appearance which makes me very self conscious. I am not interested in orbital decompression surgery for the right eye, I think that's too invasive. But would ptosis surgery on the left side fix the asymmetry? I have no eye dryness , 40F non smoking, no medication, very active.
