Hi Marie...as long as you have control over the bulima and it is in remission you have two choices. You can see a good general dentist and have beautiful porcelain crowns that will cover the entire tooth and protect the back where you have problems Second choice would be lingual veneers which just cover the back of the tooth. Before you spend commit to any dental treatment, please see at least two or three dentists for consultations regarding your past bulima and the condition of your teeth. Most all general dentists place veneers as well as crowns, so make sure you see a dentist that has experience and ask to see before and after pictures of patients with these procedures. If you are interested in cosmetics, and I'm not sure why you are because you said your teeth look very beautiful from the front, then go see a good cosmetic dentist who can diagnose and treat your entire mouth. You do not need a "regular" dentist as well as a "cosmetic" dentist.

I would suggest seeing a dentist you trust and evaluating your particular situation.  You may consider full coverage crowns to protect the backs of your teeth or perhaps lingual veneers which only cover the backs of your teeth - this would be for protective reasons not cosmetic ones.
