Dr. Nick Mobilia is an expert in his field. I am so fortunate to have found a dentist and practice that is so caring and talented. I was afraid to smile as my old bonding was stained and I needed to get it fixed without a complete replacement. The restoration was UNBELIEVABLE. I was thrilled and smiling for days! I highly recommend Dr. Nick Mobilia for all your dental needs!
Before going to Dr Mobilia, I had severe problems with my denture. I could not eat properly, not speak properly and the denture would fall down. When I met Dr Mobilia for the consultation, I knew he could help me out right away. I now have whats called a Prettau Bridge that permanently stays in. I can now taste food because this bridge doesn't have a palate. It looks and feels so great. My friends say I look healthier because even my face looks much better since I don't have that denture look. I feel better about myself and thanks to Dr Mobilia for his great work. I recommend him wherever I go.
Lost a bridge which caused maloclussion, discomfort and infection. Needed treatment more or less at once! The outcome was fantastic!!!
A Great Dentist with a Great Reputation -New York, NY
If you are as apprehensive as I was about going to the dentist, then I have a secret that I must share with you. The office of Dr Nick Mobilia is a very caring and patient friendly office that helps you relax and feel comfortable about your dental work. Dr Mobilia answers your questions as does the staff so you never have to be embarrassed about your problems. My teeth were a mess from ugly old crowns and implant work done a few years ago by someone else. Dr Mobilia did a fabulous job in removing the old work and putt in a new bridge that gave me my old smile back. My front teeth look really really great and I get compliments about it. Now I can smile with confidence and can’t believe I waited all these years to get the proper dental work done. My insurance was all processed and I had a pretty good experience. Take it from a scaredy cat like me, Dr Mobilia is the best dentist ever for apprehensive patients.
From the radiographs presented, the implant is much too narrow and is not deep enough to be fully embedded in solid bone. My recommendation is to get a second opinion, have a graft with membrane placed until the tissues (hard and soft) heal properly, then have a longer implant with a wider diameter properly placed. I doubt if the situation that you presented were ever to heal, more than likely it would be a prosthetic nightmare for the restoring dentist and another nightmare for you to maintain it and it would be guaranteed to fail.Good luck and keep us informed.
Orthodontic treatment can help in the proper alignment of teeth and can bring your teeth into a better occlusion or bite relationship. If after the completion of treatment there are esthetic concerns or esthetic imperfections, you should seek an esthetic evaluation by your restorative dentists. Often times, a quick recontouring of your gums by a dental laser or a more invasive crown lengthening procedure may suffice. Sometimes tooth bonding or porcelain veneers serve as an excellent esthetic option if orthodontics cannot provide the final esthetic outcome.
It is not uncommon for your gums to be sore immediately after having a crown placed over an implant. Even if there was no pain before the permanent crown was placed, the gum tissues need to adapt to the shape of the new crown and sometimes, this can cause discomfort for a day or two. Remember before your crown was placed, either you had a temporary or a healing abutment over the implant. Very rarely are the dimensions of your temp or healing abutment the same as your permanent crown. As a result, sometimes your gum tissues have to be cut either surgically or with a laser to make your new crown fit. This can cause discomfort also. You should follow up with an appointment to your dentist after notifying the office of your discomfort and concerns. I hope this help and please keep us informed.
Yes, tooth colored fillings can be placed at the back of lateral incisors near the gumline in order to fill cavities. Tooth colored bonding is technique sensitive so the dentist must be careful not to have the filling and receptor site area get contaminated with either blood or saliva. The area must be isolated and sometimes if the cavity is below the gumline, we use our Diode laser to clear out the soft tissue in order to have the filling rest on a solid and visible foundation.
After our patients receive Professional Tooth Whitening, either in-office or take-home, we recommend that they refrain from foods and beverages that might stain their teeth. We recommend waiting 48 hours as this is plenty of time for teeth to rehydrate. We also recommend immediately expectorating or rinsing with water after drinking and eating these foods that stain.
