2 weeks post op, the pain is worse and debilitating in one breast. Feels like an electric current. When will this go away?

Many patients have the type of pain you are experiencing after sub muscular placement. Asymmetry of convalescence is not uncommon as well. Nevertheless you should report your situation to your own surgeon.

It is not uncommon to have some sensory issues after surgery.  It usually gets better with time as the swelling subsides. Best of luck.

What you are experiencing is very common. It is usually short lived fortunately. The nerve to the nipple area sometimes gets stretched during the procedure and all the swelling and inflammation irritates it further. It will pass. Each surgeon has their own recommendations on how to assist. I use warm compresses and gentle massage in the area on the side where the nerve comes out, to soothe the nerve. 

Brunetta,Shock-like discomfort is associated with stretching sensory nerves at the time of surgery, causing stretch injury that does gradually recover.  It is often localized to an area of the breast or nipple and usually starts to subside by 2-3 weeks, when it occurs.  Certain activity, like nicotine use, can aggravate the problem, and it may respond to anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen, to some degree.  Desensitization massage, bombarding the affected skin area with massage stimuli several times a day, may also help your brain to start to ignore the stimuli and tone them down. You may want to inquire to your surgeon about how to do that, and what to do otherwise. I hope that this helps.
