3 months post op breast implants - hurting! Is this normal?

I had 400 cc silicone implants under the muscle done 3 months ago going from an A to large D/small DD. I teach Zumba and haven't had any problems. I haven't done push-ups or weight training yet. But I am starting to be extremely sensitive and experiencing pain when touched or when massaging. My chest muscles are sore as if I had been doing a lot of pushups. I hadn't been experiencing any pain at all until a week or so ago. Normal?? Other than that, they are fantastic!

At three months there should be very little pain after a breast augmentation even with vigorous physical activity. This is something that you should report to your surgeon.

It is hard to say what is causing your symptoms.  Your situation may be entirely normal, but you should call your surgeon for an evaluation.  Best wishes.

It is not normal to experience pain at 3 months post op.   Nipple hypersensitivity and discomfort can occur 3 months after breast augmentation.  Schedule an in person exam with your surgeon to discuss your recovery.  Best wishes!

Thank you for your question.  Nipple hypersensitivity and discomfort can occur 3 months after breast augmentation.  However I recommend that you contact your plastic surgeon for examination and diagnosis.   It is unusual to have pain that only starts after 3 months and is essential that you be checked to make certain you do not have a capsular contracture.
