3 weeks post op. Not sure whether to have a bath as I still have scabs on my scars?

I'm 38, had 415cc teardrop implants under muscle. My surgeon said I could bath at 3 weeks but still have scabs on my scars. Is it wise to bath still?

If you are concerned about your wound, check with your plastic surgeon.  Instructions for hygiene should come exclusively from him.

Every surgeon will have their own post-op instructions, so it would be best to consult your surgeon before doing something you are unsure of.  Although I typically allow my patients to shower the day after surgery, I like my patients to wait 4 weeks before submerging in any body of water and when all incisions are closed.  Best rule of thumb, if you are unsure, ask your surgeon before doing anything.  ac

As a general rule I allow my patients to shower the day after surgery. I prefer that patients avoid a bath (I assume you want to stay submerged in water) until I have personally seen them and cleared them for bath or hot tub. So I guess the answer is wait til you can ask you PS. A physical exam is really needed to give you a definitive answer.

Since you are uncertain about the appearance of your breast augmentation incisions you should contact your plastic surgeon for specific advice.  it is better to follow the advice of your operating surgeon and not follow online recommendations by surgeons who have not examined you.
