Will nipples still get hard if I get cold with nipple incision?

Question

If I get my implants placed through the nipple will my nipples still be the same? For example if I get cold my nipples get cold and some what garden will implant incision through nipple effect this? Also what incision is best? And why I some dr refuse to do armpit olacement

Nipple sensation and response to stimulus such as cold can be affected with any method employed for placement. As noted, there is  big trend back to the infra-mammary fold approach as there is evidence that the rate of capsule contrcature and infections appear to be less with this approach. The transaxillary patient has to have some very specifc anatomical considerations to be the perfect candidate for  successful result. Good luck. Dr. PG

The infra mammary approach is becoming a preferred access point for breast augmentation. Placement to the areola or armpit subjects the implant to bacterial contamination which may be a factor in the development of capsular contracture.

There are so many variables to respond to in your question. Sizer of N/A in diameter, smaller the more % decreased sensation, Size of implant being placed. The degree of nipple simulation your have or expect. Thus best to ask your surgeon ALL these questions...

Thank you for your question.  A properly placed incision through the areola should not interfere with nipple sensation and response to cold.  However loss of nipple sensation can occur in approximately 5% of breast augmentations.The inframammary crease incision in the fold under your breast is commonly used by many plastic surgeons because visibility for accurate placement of the implant is better using this approach.  Potential complications are also less using the inframammary crease incision.
